Set on 27 wooded acres in the Hocking Hills area of Ohio. This minimalist cabin is a serene location to disconnect from the busyness of life. We’ve created this space with intentional simplicity in design and function. Wifi is readily available, but you won’t find a TV, radios or clocks. Inspired by the family cabin built by hand a mile outside the entrance to Big Bend National Park in southwest Texas in the 1970s.

Considerations: We are in a wooded area, so sometimes nature may find its way inside the cabin. Bug spray is recommended in the warmer months. 4-wheel drive is strongly encouraged in the snowy season. We are also in the process of upgrading water filtration (spring fed water tested to be good for drinking, but we sometimes get discoloration when it rains), parking and installing a generator in case of electrical outage (our power company has been good about responding to occasional outages).
